This is Olive Wood from the same olive orchards in Bethlehem that have been carefully tended since the time of the Roman Empire.  Once a year, these sacred trees are trimmed, and the trimmings are sold at auction.  After an exhaustive search, I have acquired a bit of the most sacred wood on the planet.

This is walnut from Papua New Guinea.  This is the same part of the world where researchers recently discovered hundreds of new species of animals and plants.  I bought the wood less than a week before the announcement of this great Biological discovery.  The two incidents aren't related.

This is an incredible piece of Quilted Sapele.
