This is a compact mirror made of Buckeye Burl.



Below is a finial I made for my friend's Brooklyn house. It will replace a missing finial on the stairway. I made it of ash wood, which, with stain, will mimic the grains of oak in hopes of matching the stairway. It's hard to get oak in 4x4 that's not cracked, so using ash is common.

This is a bowl made out of a piece of locally-cut Spalted Maple. I left the bark on the rim. In the second photo, you can see the curvature of the tree by looking at the side view of the bowl.
