2 Green Am. Chestnut bowls on reclaimed Am. Chestnut desk

I am one of the few living people to ever get to turn green American Chestnut. Most of the trees have died due to the Chinese blight, but there are still five living American Chestnuts in the forest behind my house. Two of the original seven have died, and these bowls were turned from some of the green wood. It rests upon reclaimed Chestnut desk that came from barn wood. The light color of the green Chestnut will darken with age. There is no stain on the reclaimed Chestnut desk.
