A few weeks ago, I noticed my chicken Princess Leia was looking dead in the hay loft. I put a ladder there and climbed up to retrieve her dead body. However, she pecked at me and told me to get the heck away from her. She was nesting on the eggs for at least a week and a half. Then one day, I walked into the barn and heard the chirping of a chick but did not see her. The following day, I found Leia chasing the tiniest chick I've ever had around the barn. I put them in the chicken tractor, and she is taking care of her chick in the most amazing ways. It's great to watch. Below the video, I'll explain the Jerry Springer - Who's My Daddy - thing I have going on.

This is Han Solo. He is the only rooster that I've had since I had to kill off Baby Chewy after he drew blood from my granddaughter. In any case, Han is a really cool rooster. While Chewy was still alive, when Chewy would be getting aggressive, Han would actually protect people from Baby Chewy. So, Han lives.
As far as I know, Han is the father of the chick. And since Han and Leia had a son named Kylo Ren in the Star Wars movies, the chick's name is obviously Kylo Hen.
By the way, these chickens were named as chicks before I even knew whether they were roosters or hens. Han Solo fertilized Leia. What are the chances? Probably about 1 in 15.
At least I think he did. A few days after the chick was born, Gandalf the Grey started cock-a-doodle-doing. I suspected he was a rooster, but he hasn't gotten his spurs yet. In any case, there is a small chance that Gandalf the Grey might have turned Han into a cuckold. Time will tell. The chick will take on traits of one her potential fathers at some point, but as of now, it is too early to tell.
I still think the father is Han. Gandalf only came to the farm this summer, along with the rest of the Fellowship of the Ring. That's Legolas behind Gandalf.
I'm rooting for Han Solo.
